Prof Thomas Wernberg

Dr Wernberg is a Professor of Marine Botany and a former Australian Research Council Future Fellow in the School of Biological Sciences, UWA’s Oceans Institute.  His research focuses on temperate seaweed-dominated habitats, especially kelp forests, and on solutions to habitat decline through restoration, as well as increasing our appreciation for the role of marine ecosystems in areas such as climate mitigation.  Thomas is an Editor-in-Chief for the journal of Aquatic Botany and an Associate Editor for the Journal of Phycology.
